I have a very unusual keyboard today.

I have a very unusual keyboard today. It has a very interesting feature. This is the Base 68 from Einperr. Einperr is like an offshoot of Kailh, like Kailh that makes the switches, Kailh, they're making keyboards and I'm very intrigued because I like a lot of Kailh switches. Also a shout out for their box sleeve design. I like it. It seems fresh. It's not something I've seen on keyboards before. This is what it's looking like when you open the box. Intriguing. Oh, yeah, this is interesting. This is crazy. Truly, this is nothing I have ever seen before in keyboards. Like, take a look at this. Okay, first of all, there's a lot of things that come in this box. I'm going to take off all the side plastic and we are going to get to this keyboard. But first, let's talk about what comes in the box. So these are the switches that are in the keyboard and then they give you four other Kailh switches just to try out. I love that about Kailh. You've got a nice USB cable and a magnetizer and demagnetizer. I truly don't actually know what this is for. I'm going to have to find that out, but it's in there. And something I don't see often in an unboxing is this style of switch puller and a keycap puller. So that's really nice. This is like a beefier switch puller and a pretty nice tool for disassembly because with this keyboard, you can get kind of crafty with it if you want to. We'll get into that in a second. And don't be too intimidated by this one. They have a whole manual showing you how to disassemble and assemble this keyboard, which is really nice because a lot of keyboards do not include that. Like good, step-by-step instructions you can follow. So this is the Einperr Base 68 and not only does it have these crazy keycaps that have like a silicone bump on top of each one, it also has this transparent case that's full of beads, like loose beads. They're like blue, coral, pink, pearlescent beads that are in the case. And that's where you can get crafty with this in a way that you can't with any other keyboard because you can put things in the case. You can take all the beads out and replace it with different beads. You can get creative. I don't know what you want to put in there, but you can put other things in the case. I haven't actually seen any videos of anybody doing this yet. So you know that I'm going to, that's going to be another video, but I am so curious what it's going to be like to fill the case with different colored beads. Like that looks so cool. Imagine putting any colored beads in there to match your desk setup. I think this is truly one of the more interesting keyboards I have seen in a really long time that has like a feature I've never seen before. But now, of course, a quick sound test. It reminds me of like candy. I really like that. Also, the typing experience with these like crazy silicone topped keycaps is quite interesting and really nice. Really comfortable. Interesting. Definitely not like a normal keycap, but it is interesting and I like it. Some key brolls. So that was my first look at the Einperr Base 68.
