In 2003... Wildlife enthusiast Timothy Treadwell had spent more than a decade observing and filming grizzly bears in Alaska. He believed that peaceful coexistence with the animals was possible. However... Near the end of the bear season, Treadwell and his girlfriend, Amie Huguenard, were fatally attacked by a grizzly bear in Katmai National Park and Preserve. The incident shocked the world and later became the subject of the documentary Grizzly Man. It also renewed discussions about the importance of respecting wildlife, maintaining safe distances, and recognizing that even familiar wild animals can behave unpredictably.
