I hate to say this, but if you're not starting your hike at 3:00 AM, you're doing it wrong. Unfortunately, for both you and me, hiking through the pitch black is actually worth it. This is Mount Fremont Lookout Trail, a 5.6 mile round trip hike that stands strong as my favorite hike of all time. And I'm not even kidding when I say, wasn't even scared of hiking in the dark because there was lots of other people doing the same thing. We summited right at sunrise and we were met with the most insane views. I mean, look at the lighting, it was actually incredible. And on the way back down, the views honestly just kept getting better and better because we were able to see what we couldn't see when we're hiking up in the dark. I don't know how else to convince you, but if you're in the Pacific Northwest in the summer, I promise you this hike is worth it.
