People always ask me how I balance brand deals with hotels, resorts, and Airbnb stays… It comes down to planning way further ahead than people realize. I always book the stay first. I’m pitching hotels, resorts, and properties months in advance because I map out my year by quarter. Q1 and Q2 are usually when I have more room for travel, so I intentionally fill those months with trips. Then once I have a stay locked in about 1-2 months out, that’s when I start pitching brands. And this is where the magic happens… I already have leverage. I’m not just saying “hey, I’m traveling, do you want content?” I’m saying, “I’ll already be creating content at this luxury resort / unique Airbnb / incredible property, and I’d love to bring your brand into that experience.” That context changes everything. It’s also why I always tell creators that travel UGC is a different game. The opportunities are there, but you have to think like a business owner and plan ahead. To keep everything organized, I literally just use one giant Google spreadsheet. Every deliverable, deadline, brand, and trip detail lives there. I also try to batch as much content as possible on days 1 and 2 so I can actually enjoy the rest of the trip. But I’ll be real… sometimes it’s not all relaxing beach days and cute hotel shots 😂 If you want to make actual income in this space (not just trade content for a free stay), you have to treat it like a business. That means volume, systems, and a lot of behind-the-scenes work. The travel looks fun because it is… but the strategy is what makes it sustainable. Comment “Pitch” to get my email pitch I send to hotels, Airbnbs, and resorts that has allowed @delaneyryanugc and I to travel the world, working with fabulous places! #ugc #travelcontent #contentcreator #travelcreators #travelugc
