10 Claude Hacks I Wish I knew before. If you already know them all, you can unfollow me. I'm Ben Gusberg, founder of an AI startup. We've raised $4 million. Number 1: Use co-work, not chat. If you're typing into a chatbot like 2024, the longer you chat, the dumber it gets. Anthropic's own engineer said this: Start a new conversation regularly. Three, related point: Every word you send and receive costs money. Message 30 in a thread costs 31 times more than message one. Four, give Claude a goal, not steps. Steps drag it down to old Claude. Five, don't paste logins, passwords, or keys ever. Hopefully that's obvious. Six, connectors. These unlock Claude to actually do work for you. Go to settings and connect as many apps as you can. Seven, talk, don't type. You speak at 150 words per minute, you type at 50. You can also speak while doing other things like walking. Eight, add use ask user questions to prompt Claude. Claude will then interview before answering and then re-prompt itself better than you did. Nine, ask for five very different versions, then pick one. And Claude can't do that for you.
