We usually are the people that stay on the ship during port days because it can be hard with four kids to get off and go exploring, but we decided to switch things up this time when we went to Cozumel, Mexico and I am so glad we did because we ended up having the best day. So this was a last minute booking that we didn't end up doing until we were actually on the trip, but I was pleasantly surprised with how easy everything was. We booked our excursion through the Royal Caribbean app. This was the Fury boat excursion. We did snorkeling and they also took us to a private beach. It was a four hour trip. Whatever excursion you do choose, I would highly recommend booking through the Royal Caribbean app itself because when you book through them, you are guaranteed that they cannot leave you at the port for whatever reason if you don't make it back on time. You know for sure you're going to be getting back on that ship before it leaves. We have four kids of all different ages ranging from 13 down to 11 months and this specific excursion was perfect for the entire family. They had a baby life jacket. They gave out free margaritas and sodas and waters for the kids and they even had food on the actual little private beach itself for purchase. My husband ended up losing his glasses when we were out on those obstacles and the crew of the boat was so helpful and gave me some goggles to go searching because the water was crystal clear so I was convinced I was going to be able to find the glasses. Unfortunately, even with my hard work and determination, I was not able to find the glasses, but we still had the best day in Cozumel and I am so glad we ended up getting off the ship. So I would highly recommend looking into this one if you're going to be cruising to Mexico anytime soon. We have never booked an excursion before, but I am so glad we did this one.
