Hello my lovelies, I'm going to say something really controversial as a woman who works in financial services consulting and hence is very well acquainted with the finance world. Mind you, I never talk about work on here, so this is not going to be about work. This is going to be about finance bros, because I just saw a video of a wonderful lady saying that she is going to go look for a finance bro. A man in finance, 6'4, blue eyes, finance. I don't know. Anyway, I personally have never fallen for that bait, and that's simply because I'm surrounded by these people all the time, and I love it. Honestly, I love what I do. This is not about what I do, but I do think if you are looking to date someone in finance, there are some things you're just going to have to be prepared for. And I don't talk about my dating history on here, but this is coming from someone who has dated or been on dates with people in private equity, investment banking. Like guys, my dating life is very extensive now, ever since I broke up with my ex. I just don't talk about it, and I'm talking across seniorities because I have range. So I've seen from the most junior to the most senior. Okay, I have dated. And girlies, you just need to know that if you wanna date someone in finance, you're gonna have this much of their time. Okay, you're gonna have this much of their time during the work week, and sometimes on the weekends as well. I remember the guy. I'm not going to talk about specific people, but just know that work is very, very long in the finance world. And if you're not in finance or surrounded by finance or work in the financial services industry, you're not gonna know that or be as close to that. And personally, I am a very loose touch type of person. We don't need to talk every second of every day. In fact, I'd rather we didn't. There's stuff to be done. Okay, there's stuff to be done. We can talk, but like every hour? Don't call me during the work day. And I think some of the girlies who are looking for finance bros don't quite know what they're getting into yet. So maybe they'll think that when their partner isn't responding to their every message or is only responding very late after work, it's because they don't like you. And I'm going to say something controversial: sometimes they just don't like you. Sometimes they just don't like you, but sometimes it is actually just because work is that intense. So just be ready for that, girlies. I'm so here for the people dating finance guys. You know, I work in financial services. I support the finance bros. I support the people in finance. Okay, I support it. But just know what you're getting into, because I love it for us. I love it for us, but just be well informed. I hope this helps. Toodles.
