This is everything I ate at Italian Fest. Italian Fest 34 weeks pregnant. I walked into this festival and the only thing I was craving was rice balls. The good news is that it was the first truck. And the bad news, it was two for $16. So we said, we'll wait a little bit. And then we saw this loaded Italian fry stand, and we got that steak in the grass fries, which was rib eye, spinach, Alfredo, cheese, all on top of fries. And it ended up being Steven's favorite thing. And we always like to get a large lemonade to keep us hydrated, except this one was literally sugar water with a splash of lemon juice. And then we got these fried raviolis I've always wanted to try, stuffed with cheese and came with marinara sauce. It was pretty good. And look. Yay! We found another rice ball truck. And then once I walked closer, it was all sold out. So we walked around a little more. And I know we're supposed to have pasta at an Italian festival, but it was too hot for pasta, not going to lie. So we opted for this meatball burger. I thought it was going to be meatballs between buns, but it ended up being, like, a burger patty and some tomato sauce on top. Steven loved it. I thought it was okay. And while we were finishing that, we stood in line for this so. Stand. There was a huge line. For it, and that's always a good sign. I didn't hate it, but the sauce was a little bit too sweet for my liking, but that didn't stop me from finishing the whole slice. And then we ended up going back to the first rice ball stand, and we got two rice balls, and I was divine. Totally worth it. I guess Baby needed it. was craving it the whole day. Just look how good that looks. Then we went on a hunt for a cannoli, and there were so many stands, but we ended up getting from a place that we actually know outside the festival. It's called Muscarella's. They have amazing sweets. And yeah, nothing to say about it other than it did not disappoint. It was really good. They also had music in the festival. and they had some merch and stuff, but I wanted one more thing. and it was this ginormous fried dough. You cannot go to a festival without getting fried dough. It's just like it's. It's in the books. And it also always reminds me of Egyptian Feteer, so it's a little nostalgic to me. Anyways, we ended up spending $90, which was way too much.
