People always ask me why I spend so much time in Sacramento. The answer is because I found love with this city. I wasn't born here, I moved to Sacramento as a teenager and honestly, it wasn't love at first sight. But somewhere along the way, this place quietly became home. I found love with the sunsets stretching over wide open fields, the old neighborhoods filled with character, the murals that tell stories without saying a word. The river that somehow makes everything slow down for a while. I found love with the farmers markets, the coffee shops, the local restaurants and the idea that some of the freshest food in the country starts right here. I found love with the diversity of the people who make the city what it is. I realized Sacramento isn't loud about its beauty. It doesn't ask for attention. You have to slow down enough to notice it. About a year ago, I picked up my camera and started sharing the Sacramento I see every day. Not because I thought someone else would go viral, but because I hoped someone else might fall in love with the city the way I did. Today, there are 3,000 people here who stop to watch a sunset, who appreciate local businesses, who know the architecture, the seasons, the hidden corners, the everyday beauty that so many people drive right past. That means more to me than you'll probably ever know. Today, there are 3,000 people who stop to watch a sunset, who appreciate local businesses, who know the architecture, the seasons, the hidden corners, the everyday beauty that so many people drive right past. Thank you for being here. Thank you for reminding me that there are thousands of people who see Sacramento the way I do. And I cannot wait for us to build a bigger community.
