0% containment and over 20,000 acres while I’m writing this. Was hiking by Meadows and watched so many planes fly by to work on containing it. Was definitely crazy to see a fire this close and how much it grew in just a few hours. We didn’t see any smoke driving up 26 this morning but by the time we were halfway through the hike the plumes were huge. They could even be seen from Damascus yesterday evening on our drive home. Huge shout out to the firefighters working their butts off to contain this. Prayers to those who have been evacuated and those on the front lines. Worst wildfire season 25 years.
