I’m excited to share that my team and I emerged as the winners of the MIVA AI Hackathon 2026, securing 1st place and the ₦1.5 million grand prize. As the Software Engineer on the team, I was responsible for building the product that powered our solution from turning our ideas into a working application to ensuring we had a functional product ready to present. Together, we built an AI-powered healthcare solution focused on a real African challenge: helping people access healthcare facilities and medical professionals faster, reducing delays that often cause treatable conditions to become critical. This achievement is more than winning a competition. It’s another reminder that the skills I’ve spent years developing can create products with real-world impact under pressure and within tight deadlines. I’m grateful to my incredible teammates for their collaboration, ideas, and commitment. Great products are built by great teams, and I’m proud of what we accomplished together.
