6 expensive things that are NOT worth your money: Number 1. Lola blankets they are made from 100% polyester aka plastic yet they go for 200+ dollars if you're charging that much it better be made from natural fibers aka organic cotton or wool just to put it in perspective polyester = cheapest to produce conventional cotton = 20-70% more than polyester organic cotton = 15-40% more than cotton organic cotton = 40-140% more than polyester a lot of brands will choose cheaper fabrics but they are not durable they are not good for your skin or for your health and having a 100% polyester blanket to me not worth it Number 2. AirPods it's basically having radio frequency energy all around your brain at all times wired headphones are so much cheaper yet they're so much more chic No. 3 luxury makeup I'm talking Chanel Prada Armani a lot of the times all you're paying for is fancy packaging if you look at the ingredients most of the times they are not non toxic and they can also cause acne No. 4 luxury candles with synthetic fragrances not good for your health it's not good for your lungs it's not good for your pets lungs if it's got synthetic fragrance it just as fragrance it doesn't actually tell you what's in the candle could be endocrine disruptors because dozens of chemicals hide under the perfume or fragrance label in their ingredients there's so many candles like Fontana candles that are literally like 20 bucks and they're made with beeswax. coconut oil and essential oils that are way better for you so I would definitely opt out No. 5 polyester activewear polyester again it's plastic you're sweating in it and your pores are open our brands like Lulu Alo all these brands that are charging $200 for set when there are brands that charge less or the same and are organic cotton and No. 6 No. 6 I don't think it's worth buying cotton basics instead of organic cotton now I know this is controversial because a lot of people think swapping from polyester into cotton is all they have to do but the truth behind conventional cotton is that it uses a ton of pesticides and fertilizers they're synthetic and a lot of them very harmful for your health textile processing can also include a lot of harmful dyes finishes and other chemicals that organic cotton just does not allow some studies have even detected PFAS levels on cotton so no buying conventional cotton is not the safest I said cotton basics because things like underwear t-shirts or even activewear they sit on your skin for a prolonged amount of times a lot of the times in the most sensitive areas of your skin when it comes to dresses or special occasion wear I do make exceptions and I will sometimes wear cotton purely because you're only wearing it for two to three hours I think it's not as important to prioritize it than your basics or your activewear and that's it
