24 hours in SAN DIEGO 24 hours in SAN DIEGO 24 hours in SAN DIEGO 24 hours in SAN DIEGO I set off early to drive down from LA and headed straight to brunch. And I had heard so much hype around this place called the Blue Whale. It's basically like a cute little surf cafe. And I had loads of fun little specialty coffee options. And of course went for the banana cold brew because I'm banana obsessed. We also got the Uber pancakes and the classic breakfast burritos. And I think this burrito was actually in the top three that I have ever tried. And leaving the Blue Whale, if you turn left, you find this really cute little town. It's got lots of fun little shops and cafes. Then we stumbled across La Valencia, which is a really pretty hotel. I honestly just love exploring hotels. And when we left the hotel, we went down the back down and headed straight up the road. Then you'll end up at the sea lion rookery. I honestly stood and watched the baby seals for far too long. They were just so cute. Then it was time to check into our hotel so we quickly dropped off our bags. Then we headed for a quick change and headed out for dinner. I had actually spotted this place earlier on in the day and I had been dying to go to. And it's called The Baked Bear. You can completely customize and create your own ice cream sandwiches. And yes, they do also warm the cookies. About 10 minutes up the road, there was a beach called Windansea, which was really nice to just have a little afternoon stroll. Before making our way back to the hotel for a quick change and heading out for dinner. I had actually spotted this place earlier on in the day and I had been dying to go to. And it's called Queenstown. When I saw the pins on the menu, I had to order it. Not gonna lie, it doesn't beat one from back home. However, I definitely recommend this little gin lavender spritz that I had. It's warning for someone that's new to San Diego. I did not realize that all the restaurants close at 8:30 PM. So we ended up eating there and I had the lamb burger, which was actually incredible. Then the last place to tick off was this place called Java Earth Coffee. Again, so cute. I wish I stayed here longer. And I got the brown sugar cinnamon latte. I mean, that's just me and a cup. But when I tell you to get the banana bread, get the banana bread. It was the second best banana bread I have ever tried. It was so gooey and also had chocolate chips. I'll definitely be heading back to San Diego. I mean, that's just me and a cup. But when I tell you to get the banana bread, get the banana bread. It was the second best banana bread I have ever tried. It was so gooey and also had chocolate chips.
