Where to stay and eat for your next trip to Montauk that won't break the bank. This is my third time staying at Daunt's Albatross Motel and it's seriously in the best location. It's super central, just a few blocks from all the shops and bars and also steps away from the beach. They have everything like a pool, fridge and even these cozy robes, plus events every night like yoga, live music and s'mores. Now for the food, their restaurant Bird on the Roof is famous for their brunch. I've even seen Alex Earl walk in here. My go-to order is their French toast latte and blueberry pancakes and their soft scrambled toast with bread on top. You also can't go wrong with their breakfast sandwich. The dinner and drinks here should also be on your radar. Their octopus is also amazing, but an absolute must order is their Wagyu Sando. The meat is perfectly salty and tender in between milk bread. And look how glazed these ribs are. They fell right off the bone. For dessert, their coconut bread pudding is definitely the winner. Their early bird special is a steal.
