"Why would you keep your sons body at home after he passes?!? "That's disgusting and illegal!"

I just want to say I was reading through my comments and a lot of you have been very very supportive through through all of this. And it's it's absolutely awesome. A lot of people questioned why I would keep my son's body at home after he passes and then a lot of you were really mean to me about it. And I do just want to say that other cultures exist outside of your own. Before the funeral service was on and booming and, you know, costing a lot of money, people had their loved ones in their homes. That's where you did your wake, that's where you had your funeral. And a lot of people, you know, had to bury their own loved ones themselves. Now, we plan on having my son here at home because he is on hospice and yes, in the state of Wisconsin it is legal to pass away on hospice to have your loved one at home for as long as you want. There is no time limit for it. And so, you know, depending on how things go, we plan on having something beautiful, something that we can cherish forever. We plan on having flowers and candles and spending time together as a family, cherishing our last moments with him before we call the funeral home and set up for his actual funeral. That might be hard for some people to understand because it's not something that you grew up with or not something that you've ever seen before. But just because you don't understand it does not mean it is wrong. It does not mean it's disgusting and it doesn't really give you a right to call me names because you don't understand. And I know that sometimes Google is not your friend. But in this circumstance, a simple Google search will tell you that there is nothing weird about what we plan to do. There's nothing wrong with it and there's nothing illegal. I hope that that answers some of the questions that people have been asking because I can't get to all of you individually to tell you, you know, yes, this is legal. No, it's not wrong. Yes, other cultures exist in the world. So, I hope this helps you understand a little better. 💜
