Dropped from my student teaching placement before it even began 💀 (They allow teachers to have studs in their nose btw) Liberal upset because the school she teaches at wants her to remove her piercings. This shit's so fucking embarrassing. I'm supposed to be student teaching at my local school district. Supposed to be. And I put in an accommodation request for my piercing because there's certain piercings that cause physical pain. What? Are people really coming on social media and making videos crying that they can't show their piercings at work? You're a teacher. You're there to teach children. I'm sorry, but no normal people go to work covered in piercings. They don't even allow that. So the fact that the school even allows any of this is wild. And then you're upset because if you get a retainer, it causes physical harm. You're the one who got the piercings. No one else. When did people stop being professional? When did people start taking their job seriously instead of their appearance? Like if you don't like it, get a new job. But I'm pretty sure you can get a job at a piercing shop or a tattoo parlor. They would love you. But at the end of the day, it's not the school's problem, it's yours. Because you decided you wanted to be a teacher. So you should abide by the rules. And clearly, they have rules where you can't show piercings, pretty sure you can't have crazy hair color or tattoo showing. And that's what most jobs do. They have rules you have to abide by. So unfortunately, you're going to play the victim when in reality, it's your fault, not the school's. Do better. And now you're upset about that. That's why you people on the left are such self-entitled. If you don't like it, get a new job. But guess what? Normal jobs probably aren't going to pay as good as your teaching job.
