You will lose your job for being irresponsible

I have seen two separate videos now of Gen Z people my age who have lost their job for not listening to what their employer asked them. And both of those videos, they made the wildest excuses as to why it wasn't their fault. Like there's just one girl who got her job offer taken away because she didn't get a document notarized after her employer asked several times. And in her video explaining it, she was like, well, I didn't know what a notary was, and I didn't know where to get it. And that is just not a valid excuse because you can use Google, you can look something up, you can find out what a notary is. And that's all the lady. And on her first two days of work, she was late both times and then got fired. And she was like, well, it wasn't my fault because I had to go to the DMV to deal with something with my license and then I was five minutes late the next day because I left late, whatever. But that does not work. You can't just show up late both days and expect to not get fired. In both of those cases, it was their own fault. You chose to not be prepared, you chose to not be responsible, and you see the consequences that come from that. And maybe it's just me with how I've been raised and how my parents taught me, but when it comes to being prepared, especially for a new job or for a job you're about to get, you better be on time for everything, be extremely organized, be early, do everything above and beyond. Why are you setting yourself up for failure? It makes no sense.
