Putting y'all on the best restaurants in Central Illinois, part 19. Today I'm at Saffron Social here in Peoria, Illinois. You should go here because one of you suggested that I go here last. The last time that I was here was November of 2025. Saffron Social is one of the more higher-end restaurants in all of Central Illinois. They have a ton of different unique items on the menu. They have great steaks, seafood, and pasta. One thing that surprised me one of the most is that one of the add-ons for the steak is $18 for a single shrimp. And I decided to keep it nice and simple tonight. I got a 6 oz filet cooked medium, a lemonade, and truffle fries. The filet itself was so delicious. It was very delicate flavor to it. Outside of it tasted perfectly seared. Very, very steak. I'd personally give this a 9.8 out of 10. And the truffle fries by themselves were absolutely never delicious. If you've never had truffle fries before, these would be the perfect ones to try for the first time. No exception to the truffle, the truffle taste with the garlic butter sauce that came with it tasted very delicious. It was almost addictive. I had to stop myself from overeating. I have not tried all the restaurants yet in Central Illinois, so I can't for sure say this, but these might be the best truffle fries I've had. I'd give these a 9.9 out of 10 on my scale of truffle fries. This meal total was $64 plus I gave a 22% tip. The $10 parking that you would normally have to pay. They told me it's up to 2 hours for free if you eat at the restaurant. You can actually have them do it for you and it's all free as long as you eat there. Thank you so much for watching.
