Back in March, my monstera got pretty mad at me. After being repotted, she dropped several leaves and didn't put out anything new for quite a while because growing season was well underway and she still hadn't bounced back. Randomly, three months later, she put out her biggest leaf yet. I'm not a therapist, but I love object lessons, and it made me think that healing does not follow a timetable. It takes as long as it takes. So I need to be patient with myself and others during those seasons. Good things are still yet to come. I also learned don't trim big aerial roots that have gone into the soil, because it's probably part of the root system now.

Life Lessons from Plants: 1. Healing takes time. Don’t rush it. 2. if a huge aerial root has gone down into the soil, maybe don’t cut it off, because it’s probably part of the root system now 😅
