66 When the monkey cannot reach a ripe banana, he says, ‘it is not sweet.’ - African Proverb

Original caption

This African proverb isn't really about a monkey. It's about us. How often do people call something "overrated" only after they realize they can't have it? The promotion they didn't get suddenly "wasn't worth it." The person who rejected them "wasn't that attractive anyway." The business they were too afraid to start "would never have worked." Sometimes, pride is easier to protect than admitting, "I wanted it, but I couldn't reach it." Growth begins when we stop making excuses and start confronting reality. Instead of convincing ourselves the banana isn't sweet, we should ask: "What do I need to do to reach it?" The difference between successful people and everyone else isn't that they never face obstacles. It's that they refuse to let disappointment become a comforting lie. #growthmindset #SelfImprovement #psychology #fyp #wisdom
