How to apply Azelaic Acid so it works best with your skin type. - ‼️ The exception: Toners go first as they are thin and meant to prep clean skin. Let it fully dry before applying AA. - 👉🏼Barrier serums are designed to lock in hydration and reinforce the barrier. Applying it before AA creates a buffer - like sandwich method. Applying it after still gives you that support. - 👉🏼Note: The Azelaic acid I’m talking about is prescription strength / behind the counter like Finacea or Skinoren which is generally stronger than your off the shelf ones like Skin1004, The Oridnary, Anua. I think if I was using off the shelf + with the knowledge I have now, I’d apply it as my first layer. But still be cautious and watch your barrier.
