how to use a car head-unit as a home player firstly, buy your head-unit preferably with the cable harness still attached then buy a 12 volt power supply with alligator clips like this then buy a wire clipper with wire strip holes your player will have a bunch of color coded cables like this use the wire-cutter to strip the plastic off the YELLOW and RED cables and twist them together like this then strip the black cable and leave it by itself (mine has a cover dont worry) with the power supply OFF clip the RED clip onto the YELLOW and RED cable then the BLACK clip onto the BLACK cable (to be extra safe, wrap both in electrical tape to avoid danger) make sure they are FAR APART if they touch sparks could fly and they could hurt you your player should have L/R audio cables, simply plug them into a cable connected to your speakers then fully twist the knob on the power supply and enjoy!
