Episode 1 of my new build to home series! Welcome to episode 1 of my new build to home series! My boyfriend and I moved in late last year and as much as I love the fresh feeling of a new house, they can sometimes feel a little flat so let's add some character to it with some wall panelling. I've had this on my Pinterest board for years so I made this mock-up in Canva and laid out all the measurements and panel sizes. If you're thinking about doing this yourself, you can skip the blue tape step, but I really wanted to make sure that everything was right before we nailed anything to the wall. Another tip is to get mitre shears instead of a saw, this will make cutting so much faster and the edges will be sharp, so there's less sanding required. I did make a mistake with one of my measurements and had to redo some of the panels, so always double check your numbers. But after a lot of cutting and nailing, my Pinterest board was really coming to life. Hit the follow button for episode 2 to see how it all turned out.
