If you're considering buying a new car this summer, you guys don't know, my name is Tommy and I negotiate car deals for a living. We do anywhere between 150 to 200 car deals a month. So as my job to live and breathe what's going on in this industry, including the most reliable cars. This list is going to consist of the top five most reliable five-seater SUVs. If you want one for seven or eight passengers, don't be afraid to let me know. There has never been a top five list without an honorable mention and the honorable mention goes to the BMW X5. Now, most people think German cars are expensive and they think expensive to repair. And that's very true. If this car breaks, it is very expensive. But over the last few years, BMW has made one of the most rock solid cars. It has been consistently ranked in the top five time and time again. So if you're looking for a German car, by all means, BMW is the way to go. Number five car on the list goes to the Subaru Outback. Subaru has been solid for years and they actually ranked number one on consumer reports as a brand all together. But with the Outback, they did just redesign this car, which could be a positive for reliability. The big thing that why this car got number five versus number one just comes down to that big 14-inch screen. There has been so many little problems with that screen. Nothing to hurt with reliability as a whole. They're mainly glitches, but it can't be number one if you're having glitches. That being said, if you want to rock solid engine that's going to last you forever and an all-wheel drive system that's one of the best in its class, the Outback is the way to go. Number four car goes to the Honda CRV. When the chip shortage happened, Honda's reliability actually went down just a little bit. They fell out of the top five. But over the last few years, they have definitely made more of a conscious effort to get that reliability back up and they're back in the top five, which is good. The Honda CRV is a great car to buy if it's gas or hybrid, doesn't matter. This is going to be a great option for you. Number three car is going to go to the Lexus RX 350 Hybrid. It is hard to beat what this car has to offer. You get great luxury while getting the reliability of a Toyota. It's hard to beat. The only negative side is if something does break, it is more expensive to replace than a Toyota. But the chances are, this car is going to be rock solid for 300,000 miles. Number two car goes to the Mazda CX-50 Hybrid. Who would have thought? You put a Toyota motor in it. The CX-50 is a great option for you. Number one car goes to the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid.
