Get access to information about opportunities for Agro export ion from Africa to Europe SO IT'S BEEN 9 YEARS SINCE I MOVED during this time uh I'VE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO WORK AS AN INTERNATIONAL PROJECT MANAGER FOR ONE OF THE BIGGEST NGOS ER WITHIN THE ARTS AND CULTURAL SPACE IN ER SWEDEN AND THIS IS ALSO GIVING ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO TRAVEL TO UM AT LEAST 25 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES UH WITHIN THE EU AND ALSO BEEN FORTUNATE TO OBTAIN BOTH MY GERMAN PASSPORT AS WELL AS MY SWEDISH PASSPORT OF COURSE STILL MAINTAINING MY NIGERIAN PASSPORT SO AFTER NINE YEARS UM I STARTED THINKING ABOUT TRANSITIONING BACK HOME UH TO NIGERIA WHICH LED ME INTO VENTURING INTO AGRICULTURE UH SO CURRENTLY I'M IN PARTNERSHIP WITH UH SOME OF MY PARTNERS IN NIGERIA WHERE WE PLANT ON UH 20 HECTARES OF LAND JUST FOR A START UH PLANTING UH MAIZE PLANTING UM POTATO AS WELL AS GRANOT BUT OF COURSE THIS ALSO BECAUSE I'M BASED HERE UH I ALSO STARTED EXPLORING THE POSSIBILITY OF UM EXPORTING PRODUCTS TO THE MARKET WHICH HAS LED ME INTO UH EXTENSIVE RESEARCH UH WHILE I WAS DOING THIS RESEARCH UH WHICH WAS VERY OVERWHELMING I ALSO THOUGHT ABOUT JUST REACHING OUT TO ORGANISATIONS IN NIGERIA THAT ARE INTO EXPORTING TO SEE IF I CAN GET LIKE SOME KIND OF MENTORSHIP AH IN EXCHANGE ALSO BRINGING SOME VALUE TO THE TABLE SAYING I HAVE ACCESS TO FUNDED FOR THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR I'M ALSO COMMUNITY MANAGER I'M ALSO PROJECT MANAGER I CAN GIVE SOME OF THESE EXPERTISE BACK UH TO SOME OF THIS ORGANISATION I REACHED OUT TO AT LEAST 50 ORGANISATION BUT TO MY SURPRISE NONE RESPONDED UH WHEN I GO ON THE WEBSITE OF SOME I SEE THEY EVEN CHARGE AS MUCH AS 1 MILLION FOR MENTORSHIP FEE I'M LIKE NO THIS SHOULD NOT BE IT SO WE WANT TO BREAK THAT CYCLE I HAVE ONE MISSION TO GIVE YOU ALL THE KNOWLEDGE ALL THE EXPERTISE EVERYTHING ALL THE RESEARCH I'M DOING NOW FROM UH PRODUCT SPECIFICATION TO HOW YOU START EVEN WITH CERTIFICATION HOW YOU START YOUR EXPORTING BUSINESS WE E U REGULATIONS WITH THE DEMAND FOR AGRO UM PRODUCT SO I WILL BE GIVING YOU ALL THE KNOWLEDGE I'VE BEEN ABLE RESEARCH UPON UH LET'S BUILD THIS COMMUNITY TOGETHER SO UM I WOULD BE DOING A WEEKLY SERIES WHERE I FOCUS ON ONE PRODUCT TALK ABOUT THE DEMAND TALK ABOUT HOW YOU CAN STARTS GETTING IN CONTACT WITH THE BUYERS OF WHOLESALERS AND IMPORTERS ESPECIALLY IN THE E U MARKET BECAUSE I WILL BE FOCUSING MORE ON THE SIDE UH BECAUSE I HAVE ALL I'VE BEEN TO OVER 25 COUNTRIES I I'VE NETWORKED WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE SO I WOULD BE ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE UH SO STAY TUNED FOLLOW I WILL BE DROPPING A WEEKLY SERIES ON ALL THE DIFFERENT COMMODITIES AGRICULTURAL COMMODITIES ESPECIALLY THAT UH ARE OF HIGH DEMAND UH THANK YOU SEE YOU ON THE NEXT ONE MY NAME IS FEMI CAIO.

So it's been nine years since I moved during this time uh I've been lucky enough to work as an international project manager for one of the biggest NGOs within the arts and cultural space in er Sweden and this is also giving me the opportunity to travel to um at least 25 different countries uh within the EU and also been fortunate to obtain both my German passport as well as my Swedish passport of course still maintaining my Nigerian passport. So after nine years um I started thinking about transitioning back home uh to Nigeria which led me into venturing into agriculture uh. So currently uh I'm in partnership with uh some of my partners in Nigeria where we plant on uh 20 hectares of land just for a start uh planting uh maize planting um potato as well as granot. But of course this also because I'm based here uh I also started exploring the possibility of um exporting products to the market which has led me into uh extensive research uh while I was doing this research uh which was very overwhelming. I also thought about just reaching out to organisations in Nigeria that are into exporting to see if I can get like some kind of mentorship ah in exchange also bringing some value to the table saying I have access to funded for the agricultural sector. I'm also community manager, I'm also project manager. I can give some of these expertise back uh to some of this organisation. I reached out to at least 50 organisations but to my surprise none responded uh. When I go on the website of some, I see they even charge as much as 1 million for mentorship fee. I'm like no, this should not be it. So we want to break that cycle. I have one mission here to give you all the knowledge, all the expertise, everything, all the research I'm doing now from uh product specification to how you start even with certification, how you start your exporting business, we e u regulations with the demand for agro um product. So I will be giving you all the knowledge I've been able to research upon uh. Let's build this community together. So um I would be doing a weekly series where I focus on one product, talk about the demand, talk about the access market, talk about how you can starts getting in contact with the buyers of wholesalers and importers, especially in the EU market because I will be focusing more on the EU side uh because I have all I've been to over 25 countries. I've networked with a lot of people. So I would be addressing this issue uh. So stay tuned, follow.
