This particular role supports the behind the scenes engineering that helps a flights operate safely and efficiently. And on glassdoor.com, they currently have a rating of 3.7 out of 5 stars. The job opportunity that I want to talk about today is the job that functions within flight operations and management and administrative, uh, space. And it is called the Flight Operations Engineer. And when you hear the word engineer, you might automatically feel intimidated, but in reality, this person is analysing aircraft performance data, helping to calculate takeoff and landing requirements, supporting flights, planning systems, reviewing aircraft weights and balance information, maintaining airport data, helping to improve airline software tools, testing performance systems, analysing data, supporting the pilots and internal teams with technical information. And so for this particular role, they are paying salaried and they're paying pretty well. The starting salary is from $76,475, which equates to 30, approximately $37 per hour. And and the top pay is $99,662 per hour, which equates to approximately $48 per hour. So they also have bonus that is eligible um, here long term incentive compensation. And you get benefits that include employee flight benefits. So this is fully remote? The location does list out here, Chicago, Illinois. However, um, remote. The particular uh, location that they mentioned here might be the location that you might have to travel to. Um, less than I 10% of the time for meetings or um, occasional get togethers. So not too much travel is required here, but you can work fully remote anywhere across the US. This is full time, but you have to know a flexible and on call role where you do need to support airline operations, um, on the fly. So like I mentioned, as far as requirements, a Bachelor's degree or four years of relevant experience and at least two years of relevant experience within airline flight operations, engineering or related. So knowledge of aircraft performance, weight and balance and flight operations they're looking for. They're basically looking someone who can understand how airplanes operate, can analyse flight data and use tools like Excel, Python and SQL in order to improve safety and efficiency.
