We’re back @Food Lover's Market for a little breakfast burger action! 🍔🍳 his week, we’re making easy high-protein breakfast burgers for around R130, and the whole meal prep takes about 30-40 minutes! I love this kind of budget meal prep because it’s simple, realistic and actually useful for busy mornings. These are great for an on-the-go breakfast, especially if you’re trying to get more protein in earlier in the day without spending money on takeaway every time life gets a bit chaotic. Each breakfast burger comes in at around 452 calories, 31g protein and 8g fibre. Pair it with 2 apples for some extra fibre and you’re good to go! 🍎 Quick note: make sure your ingredients are cool before assembling so the sandwiches don’t go soggy. You can keep them in the fridge for about 2 days, freeze them, or just keep the fillings prepped and quickly assemble them in the morning. Also, the final sandwich will have the leftover egg on it because we’re not wasting food in this house and only get 4 burgers in our shopping🥲 Hope this gives you another easy South African meal prep idea for the week! Affordable, filling, high-protein breakfast sorted. Follow along to build a body by balance 🥳😎
