We know Taylor Farms has been in the news a lot for the cyclospora outbreak that caused many people across the United States to become violently ill with diarrhea and several people have died from it. Well, Taylor Farms uses prison inmate labor in the state of Arizona. They pay these prisoners $1.50 an hour to pick lettuce crops there for Taylor Farms. While the Arizona correctional institution goes and charges Taylor Farms $4.75 an hour for each inmate. So they're making $3.25 an hour using prison labor. And undoubtedly unsafe food. Getting out into the food chain in America. Well, the Arizona Department of Corrections is making a profit off of prison labor and undoubtedly unsafe food.
