Nobody cares about a man's mental health until it turns into anger. And then everybody sees him as the bad person. Let me explain why most men don't talk. Because we learned early on that nobody actually wants the answer. You lose money, figure it out. She leaves you, figure it out. You can't sleep, figure it out. You've got a family counting on you, payroll due on the 15th. A business that's not moving the way it should. And you still get up and perform everything like everything's handled. That's the job. As long as you're performing, nobody questions. Not one call that says, "How are you doing, man?" Then one day the pressure finds a crack. You get short with somebody. You snap at the wrong moment. And now everybody has an opinion. "Oh, man, he's changed. He's got an anger problem. Something must be wrong with him." And yeah, something probably is wrong. It's been wrong for the past two years. But nobody cared when he was carrying it quietly. Every man watching knows exactly what I mean. Because we have all held the door open for somebody while our house was on fire. I respect the ones of you that keep going, man. Not because they feel nothing, because they're fighting battles that nobody even knows exist.
