Sports Photography hot take. Although they give you insane amounts of OR on the sidelines, you do not need a G-Master lens. Third party lenses like Sigma and Tamron are gonna be more than enough for 90% of creators out there. I'm not gonna lie, the only time I think you really need a G-Master lens is if you're doing this full time or shooting for a big D1/pro level sport. But for the rest of us creators that aren't at that level yet, I think it's so much smarter to go get yourself a Sigma or Tamron 70 to 200 instead of like the G-Master Mark II and focus on building around your set, getting multiple lenses, upgrading your body, getting better SD, getting better SD cards, things like that that are gonna upgrade the whole body, your whole rig rather than splurge on a G-Master and then the rest of your budget's cooked. Hey, if you're balling like that, my bad, I shouldn't have brought it up to you.
