BREAKDOWN OF WHAT I USE MY CAMERA GEAR

I'm going to break down the gear that I use as an industry professional. Before I get started, let me know what your camera and gear setup is down in the comments. So a little bit of a backstory, I am pretty much a social media specialist. I don't shoot short films, I don't shoot documentaries, I don't shoot sports mixed tapes. I shoot things that typically bring money to businesses. But what I use is a Sony A7V as my camera body. I will say I went through a lot of cameras since the beginning of last year. I've had a Sony A74, an A1 Mark 1, A7C2, a FujiFilm X-H2S, two times. And I can without a doubt say so far, the A7V has been by far my favorite camera that I've owned. The image and the quality that you get from this is absolutely beautiful. I have had literally zero issues with this camera. With every single one of those other cameras, I would run into something, whether it was an overheating issue, the autofocus wasn't on point, or the camera body itself wasn't the biggest fan of, like there was always something. I can with without a doubt say, and unbiasedly say, with this camera body, it has been absolutely perfect for the type of work that I do. It is running gun and video. Moving on to the glass that I use. You can see I have this chunky joint on there. This is a Tamron 35 to 150mm. I will say I've owned this for about a month and a half now. And boy, you cannot convince me that this lens doesn't go with your whole personality. This lens is absolutely beautiful on the wide end and on the top end. That 35 mil F2 looks great. I know a lot of people say, you know, at that 150 mil, you can get a little bit soft, which in my opinion, that's one of those like pixel peeping things. Clients are never going to notice that. I have shot indoor, I've shot outdoor. The versatility of this lens and the consistency of this lens is absolutely amazing. And I got it for a decent deal, just below 1300 bucks. And then this is actually a new ND filter that I got. Shout out to my boy iridescent. This is a Haida 2 in 1 VND/CPL. This is a polarizer and VND. I absolutely love it. The red ring gives the Tamron a little bit more aura, but no quality drop off on this, which is really nice because the ND filter I had on this before, if I went any further than 100 millimeter, the image got absolutely destroyed. So this setup here is top tier. And then of course, just to round out my kit because I don't have a whole bunch of glass nor do I need it. I do have a Tamron 20 mil F2.8. Opposite of that lens, super small, super compact. One, just so I have something to shoot on the wider end, and something smaller if I throw my camera on a gimbal because I do have a DJI RS3 Mini. And then believe it or not, my iPhone 17 Pro Max that I'm recording this video on, I use that within my professional workflows as well. If I need something that's super wide, these phones can take raw photos. So that means I can edit those photos and make them look just like the ones on my actual camera. Or with video, if there's a certain type of shot that for whatever reason calls for an iPhone, I will pull that out, record and log, and I will color grade it with the same exact look that I look like that one.
