Why this new hinge update matters to you

This new Hinge update is life-changing. Let me explain. For someone who is a frequent user on Hinge, I hate to say that I am. Let me break down the new update and why this is actually a good thing. For those of you who are unaware, Hinge recently came out with a new update, Signal, where each user gets a little signal badge on their profile if they are actively using and engaging with Hinge. I think initially, a lot of people probably panicked and weren't a fan of it because obviously it's showing who's active on the app, which can be kind of putting. The badge is essentially just you're actively on the app. Actually, I really think this is a positive step in the right direction for like honest conversations on Hinge and people just being a little bit more upfront. Like I probably have a lot of people have definitely been guilty of taking a while to reply to someone and sort of just saying, sorry, I'm really bad on this app, I hardly ever check this app, which in my case isn't entirely true. Like I do use the app every single day. I do check through my matches every single day. I do reply to at least one or two people every single day on the app. I have one of those active badges. So for me to tell someone else, sorry I've taken so long to reply, I don't use this app. It's not honest. Works both ways. If someone else were to say, check active, I'm gonna say that because I can see that you're active on the app. Personally, I think it's gonna pave the way for more honesty on the app and hopefully, it's a step in the right direction for like honest conversations.
