HOW TO STAY CHIC, RELAXED, AND HAPPY IN LAW SCHOOL
(for the incoming 1Ls,
from your big sis)
1. The gunner in the front row with the weird hypothetical questions DOES NOT KNOW EVERYTHING. Listen to the professor and what THEY want. 9 times/10 the people asking those weird confusing questions are putting stuff on the exam the professor doesn't want and doesn't care about.
2. Literally ignore what everyone else is doing, ESPECIALLY the very first few months. It's going to be easy to think other people are briefing better, preparing better, etc. STOP. Everyone is confused at first and trying to figure out how. Do what works FOR YOU.
3. It is not cool to overwork yourself to the point of hair fallout, sickness, and misery. IT IS COOL to have a balance and enjoy life still, and realize at the end of the day, this is just a blip. People will want to flex staying up all night, but the biggest flex is getting 8hrs of sleep.
4. GET. OUT. OF. YOUR. HEAD. You are going to start thinking why am I doing this, I have no idea what anything means, I am not cut out for this, etc. PLZ take a second to realize that YOU GOT INTO LAW SCHOOL. You are meant to be there. Relax.
