Why it worked

The video likely worked due to the unexpected and messy outcome of applying nail polish to a squishy toy, creating a visually interesting and somewhat shocking "satisfying" or "gross" moment that is common on platforms like TikTok.

Summary

The video shows someone squeezing a squishy toy and then applying nail polish to it, causing the squishy to pop and spill its contents. The creator then shows the bottle of OPI nail polish used.

Product placement

OPI Nail Lacquer (nail polish) - ACTS: Used to color a squishy toy, resulting in a messy, colorful outcome. Removing it would change the outcome of the video. OPI is a brand of nail polish.
