If I'm being honest, is the 8 AM that bad? Is the 8 AM lecture and lab the next day that bad? Entering my senior year of college and in my opinions on 8 AMs have definitely changed. Cause when I was going into college, everybody told me don't take an 8 AM, an 8 AM in high school is not the same as an 8 AM in college and I did not listen. I took that 8 AM and I suffered. Cause for starters, I'm not a morning person. And then it was homecoming week, so it was all the events and stuff going on. So I wanted to be outside, but I had to wake up for my 8 AM. And when they tell you skipping class is like crap once you do it once, you got to keep doing it. They did not lie. I definitely feel as if the 8 AM is definitely a preference thing because I have friends who are able to party all night and still wake up for their 8 AM. However, I was not blessed with the ability to do so. The most I would do is probably a 9:30. But for my schedule this semester, all my classes are from 10 to 3 PM. Because my thought process with 8 AMs is your test is also going to be at 8 AM. So that means I have no time prior to study or revise my stuff if I'm not able to do it the night before. Or I'd have to wake up even earlier to study and revise my stuff. So if you're building your schedule and you have an 8 AM or you're wondering if you should get an 8 AM, definitely think to yourself, will I be able to get up for this 8 AM and take an exam? Will I have enough time to revise my notes before that 8 AM test? Will I be able to go out the night prior and still wake up for that 8 AM? Because trust me, y'all, once you skip that class once, it becomes unstoppable.
