Whew… last night was rough, and today has been rough. Anybody who knows Lee knows that he does NOT cry. We can go into the hospital, they can poke him for IVs, give him shots, do all the things he absolutely hates, and he might get uncomfortable or irritated… but he doesn’t cry. So when Lee cries, I know something is wrong. Since early, early this morning, my baby has just been crying. I’ve given him his comfort meds, and they seem to calm him down for a little while, but then he starts crying again. And that hurts me more than anything because my baby doesn’t cry. He doesn’t cry for anything. So hearing him cry and knowing that something is making him uncomfortable or hurting him absolutely breaks my heart. I’m hoping today, after seeing our hospice team and talking with his doctors, we can figure out what he needs and get him comfortable again. Because that is the priority. Through everything he is going through, I just want him comfortable. I don’t want him hurting. I don’t want him scared. I just want my baby to have peace. Please keep Lee in your thoughts today as we navigate whatever is ahead. 💙
