Mosquitoes taken over your bedroom? Before you spend money on expensive gadgets, try this simple homemade mosquito trap. Start with a clean bowl and pour in one cup of water. Water acts as the base of the mixture and helps combine all the ingredients evenly. Next, add two tablespoons of dish soap. Dish soap reduces the surface tension of the liquid, making it more difficult for insects to escape once they come into contact with the mixture. Now add two tablespoons of white vinegar. White vinegar has a strong smell that can help spread the scent of the trap throughout the room. After that, pour in one cup of fabric softener. Fabric softener adds a powerful fragrance that can help mask other household odors and increase the scent of the mixture. Then add one tablespoon of baking soda. Baking soda reacts with the other ingredients and helps create an active solution. Mix everything thoroughly until all of the ingredients are fully combined. Now take an empty plastic soda bottle and carefully cut it in half. Pour the mixture into the bottom section of the bottle. Turn the top half upside down and place it inside the bottom half, creating a funnel shape. This design helps guide insects into the trap and makes it harder for them to get back out. Place the trap in your bedroom near a window, in a dark corner, or anywhere mosquitoes are usually seen. Leave it overnight and check the results in the morning. For even better mosquito control, use window screens and keep doors closed during the evening. Try this simple DIY mosquito trap and see whether it helps reduce the number of mosquitoes in your room.
