My rabbit doesn't need another rabbit. It has me. stop saying that I hear rabbit owners say this ALL the time, and I understand why. You love your bunny, spend time with them every day, give them attention, toys, treats and affection. But here's the thing: you are not another rabbit. Rabbits groom each other, sleep together, communicate through body language and naturally seek social interaction. That doesn't mean every rabbit automatically needs a second rabbit tomorrow, but it does mean we shouldn't assume that human attention completely replaces rabbit companionship. And when people say, "My rabbits don't get along," remember that bonding isn't always instant. Rabbits often need slow introductions, and a lot of patience. Of course, if two rabbits are genuinely unsafe together, you should never force them to bond. Your rabbit can LOVE you, follow you around and choose to cuddle with you… and still benefit from having a compatible rabbit companion.
