For the love of God, use a credit card on every purchase. If you're financially responsible. If you're paying with cash or you're paying with a debit card, you're paying for everyone else's shit. When someone uses a credit card, the merchant pays a 1 to 3% processing fee to Mastercard or Amex. The merchant doesn't eat that cost. They build it into the price that everyone pays. So the person using the credit card pays the marked up price, but gets 2% cash back or airline miles or hotel points. The person paying with cash or debit pays the exact same price and gets nothing. It's the silent wealth transfer from people who use debit cards to people who pay with credit cards. So if you're financially responsible and pay your credit card in full every month, use it for every purchase. Otherwise, you're simply paying for other people's shit.
