Not this time but we are absolutely making them at home, and I promise they are going to be so much better. 😄 Creamy, rich, perfectly sweet vanilla pudding cups made with real ingredients and none of the artificial junk that comes in the little plastic store bought cups. These are the kind of snacks that feel like a treat but you actually feel good about giving to your kids and that is always a win in my book. 🙌🏼 Once your family tries the homemade version there is no going back. They are that good. 💛 Vanilla Pudding Cups Makes: 9 - 6oz jars | Time: 3 hours Ingredients: * 5 cups whole milk * 1 cup heavy cream * 1½ cups granulated sugar * 6 Tbsp cornstarch * ¼ tsp salt * 6 egg yolks * 4 Tbsp butter * 4 tsp pure vanilla extract Directions: 1. In a small bowl, whisk together ½ cup of the milk with the cornstarch until smooth. Set aside. 2. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the remaining 4½ cups milk, heavy cream, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat, whisking occasionally, until steaming and just starting to bubble around the edges. Do not let it boil. 3. While milk heats, whisk the egg yolks in a separate bowl. Once the milk is steaming, slowly drizzle ½ cup of the hot milk mixture into the egg yolks while whisking constantly. 4. Slowly whisk the tempered egg yolk mixture back into the saucepan. Then whisk in the cornstarch slurry. Continue cooking over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle simmer (about 2-3 minutes). It should coat the back of a spoon. 5. Remove from heat and whisk in the butter and vanilla until butter is completely melted and incorporated. 6. Pour pudding into 6oz containers. 7.
