Hi Lost Boys fans. So I've decided I'm going to be taking a little break from rushing and stage-doorring the show. If you follow my account for Lost Boys content, do not worry, I will still be going to the show plenty and posting about it. I just am not going to be rushing unless there's like a really special occasion, like a lead debut that's happening next week. That'll be my last rush for a while. And then I'm going to be getting tickets normal ways or through theater resale, which I know you guys hear me talk about all the time. I love the show so much. I love rushing the show and it makes me really sad to hear that there's people who want to see the show who cannot afford to see it any other way and who have been on the rush line has gone competitive, especially well, I've been gone the past couple weeks. If me taking a step back for a while allows just one more person to be able to experience it front row, because I know how life-changing that is and to become a lifelong fan. That is all that I want. I also am a college student. I can't afford to be sleeping on the street overnight all the time. And people have been honestly a little bit strange with me lately. So I don't feel totally comfortable rushing myself. And if there's like Paris sociality going on with me, a little 19-year-old Broadway content creator, I can't even imagine the level that it's gotten to with the cast. Please stop stalking them. Please stop following them home after the show. That is exactly what discourages them from coming out stage door at all. And I know that this cast is really appreciative of the fans and I'm sure they would be really sad to have to stop like, interacting with anybody because of the boundary crossing behavior of just a couple people. The fact that they are Broadway performers just does not change the fact that they have the exact same boundaries as like any other human being. They all have been extremely good at not crossing any boundaries with the fans and I really hope that the fans can treat them with the same amount of respect and just make sure that we are recognizing that they are regular people. They are not our friends. And that we can support them without having to like literally follow them home. Me choosing not to stage door is more of a personal thing. Like I don't expect anyone else to do that. I just feel like I've met everyone at this point. And there's not that much more for me to say. So I want other people to have the chance to have their moment at stage door. I will say though, if anyone is still planning on rushing, have fun with it. Please do not let anyone steal your whimsy there. If you want to do an early morning performance of the Lost Boys in the rush line, go for it. That is honestly so preferable to what's been happening lately. I've heard there's like a ton of hostility and that is so sad because I've loved being a part of this fandom because of how kind and earnest each other is and how friendly everybody is. And the fact that it's like gotten so competitive that people are being mean. That's just not what we want. Those like fun performances, that is what builds community. That is what helps people make connections. That's the kind of Lost Boys fandom that we want to have. But ultimately, like none of it is that deep. This is an 80s vampire musical.
