143 days left until 143 days left until 100 and 43 days left until the end of the year and this is day one of me teaching you how to become more independent and today we're figuring out where you are financially because before I tell you to save more or make more money, you and I need to know exactly what you're working with. So today I want you to find four numbers. First, how much money actually hits your account every month, not what you make before taxes. What is the exact amount that hits your account? Second, how much is necessary expenses each month? This is your bills, transportation, groceries, basically everything that you have to pay. What is that number? Third, how much you currently saved? And fourth, how much debt do you currently owe? Please do not turn this into a moment where you judge yourself. If you have $50 saved, write $50. If you have $10,000 in debt, write $10,000 in debt. We are not fixing anything today, we're just writing your starting get. I want to be able to look back at all of these numbers, actually that, that is what's going to matter.
