Have you heard of the August dating theory? Oh. Well apparently August is the month when summer situationships either become something real, quietly end… or someone from your past suddenly reappears. But there’s actually some psychology behind it. August can act as a temporal landmark, a natural moment to reflect, reset and decide what (and who) you actually want to take into the next season. So psychologists have found that temporal landmarks, like birthdays, Mondays, a new season can make it easier to separate your old self from who you want to become. So maybe August isn't about getting your ex back together with your ex, but maybe it's about becoming unrecognizable by the end of the year.
