How I went from 1 Airbnb to 9

I did not start with 9 Airbnbs. I started with one unit from my neighbor. At the time, I was still working full-time as a nurse and renting two units: the unit next door that I turned into an Airbnb, and the unit I was living in. I used my nursing income to cover the startup costs and get everything ready. Then the Airbnb started generating enough income to help pay the rent for both units. That was the moment I realized one property could create more than extra income. It could help carry my living expenses while I continued building. There was no big team, perfect plan, or guarantee that it would work. I simply saw an opportunity close to me and decided to take it seriously. Once the first unit became stable, I continued looking for more opportunities. One became two. Two became more. And eventually, I grew to 9 Airbnbs while still working full-time as a nurse. Here are the biggest lessons from that journey: 1. You do not need to start big. You need one opportunity you can realistically manage. 2. Your full-time job can fund the beginning while your business is still growing. 3. The goal is not only to earn more. Build something that can eventually help cover your existing expenses. 4. Make the first unit work before rushing to add more. 5. Most life-changing opportunities look ordinary at the beginning. Mine started with the unit next door. I did not build 9 Airbnbs overnight. I built them one opportunity, one unit, and one nursing shift at a time.
