that nana has started daycare. This is some of the things that surprised me about the Finnish daycare system. Firstly is that the Finnish daycare system are run by each city's municipalities. So when you pay your taxes, some of the taxes go to the state and some of it goes to the municipality. And so those taxes are used to run things like daycare. The second thing is that not every parent pays the same fees. Daycare fees for their young child. This is because they consider different things like the finances or the income of the family and how many underage children the family has. And so for example, the more that you make and the fewer children that you have, for example, the more that you pay. And the fewer children that you have, the less that you pay. And the fewer children that you have, the less that you pay for your child at the daycare. And the other thing is that kids at Finnish daycares, they are fed all meals. So depending on when you drop off your child, they'll be fed breakfast, they'll be fed lunch, they'll be fed a snack. And if your child stays there until the evening, they'll be fed dinner. And there are daycare that take care of children overnight as well if a parent works shifts. And so learning through play.
