Today we're on a hunt for the most perfect burgundy eyeshadow. Not too red, not too purple, matte or shimmer, very pigmented. This is episode 12 of my colorful eyeshadow finds series. And today I'm trying Dior Backstage palette and shade 002 smoky essentials. This is actually my birthday gift in 2024 and I realized I never tried the red shade on the bottom. So I created a smoky eye with them. If you're not familiar, Dior's formula, the eyeshadows are very silky with a pearl or satin finish. I really like how the two red shades give you a nice berry wine color that's bold and deep. This color also goes well with green eyes since it's complementary shades. I added the shades on my lower lid and finished the eye look with Essence Lash Princess burgundy mascara. This mascara matches the eyeshadow doesn't clump at all. For the lips I applied Fwee Cherry Colagoss, but this was too red for the look so I mixed Tocobo's Black Cherry lip oil on top. This smoky eye turned out wonderfully and I can definitely see this as an everyday look.
