Fall weekend trips are on my mind right now - and one place I keep recommending friends check out is Leesburg, VA. Less than a 45 minute drive from DC, this is a beautiful burg with a historic downtown filled with boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops. Here’s how you should spend a relaxed weekend there - be sure to this SAVE this! Arrive in downtown Leesburg and check out small-batch roastery Goosecup. They have amazing seasonal lattes and food options. Visit Lucketts Store to hunt for antiques, home decor, and more and don’t forget to walk around Garden Gatherings located on the store grounds to admire their cute plant displays. Then check out some of Leesburg’s farm stands - my recommendations are Loudonberry, Brossman, and Farmer John's Market. Have lunch at Cowbell Kitchen for the best sandwiches and do some shopping in the beautiful little boutiques that line the street. A few favorite stores include Creme de la Creme, 27 South, Muz & Rose and wldwst. Don’t miss Oatlands Historic House and Gardens. Purchase a $10 grounds pass to walk around the 400 acres, or stop by for a walk-in tour that includes access to the house, held every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11AM, 12PM and 2PM. Stay at the beautifully designed, luxurious Hotel Burg located right in the heart of downtown. Cozy up for a locally-inspired meal or cocktails at one of their onsite restaurants the Hunton and Diana Lounge. You gotta love Leesburg, it’s so close to DC and offers so much!
