Hook
You may have watched The Lord of the Rings a million times but did you know that at the end of the fellowship of the ring the breaking of the fellowship happens here on the banks of the lake Nen Hithoel. And the lake Nen Hithoel is just south of the Argonath which sits on the enduin river. And the Anduin flows south past the falls of Rauros, continuing down towards the Argonath which is just to the east of Minas Tirith. And so when Boromir is killed on the western shores of the lake Nen Hithoel and Aragorn puts him in the boat given to them by Galadriel further north in Lothlórien. Aragorn is literally sending Boromir home. And as he flows south, this is actually where Frodo finds him and the Cloven Horn of Gondor. And that's just one of those subtle details that pops out at you once you get a better understanding of the geography of this story.
