At 33, Anthony has chosen a life that looks very different from what many people his age are pursuing. At the foot of the Ngong Hills, he is building a beautiful Scandinavian barn house, completely off-grid and surrounded by nature, away from the noise and fast pace of city life. But what interested me about Anthony wasn’t just the home or where he chose to build it, it was understanding what makes a young man at 33 decide that he wants to live differently. His journey hasn’t always been easy. He has experienced the loss of a parent, worked hard and hustled his way up, and somewhere along the way started asking himself some very important questions about life, success and what really matters to him. In this episode, we spend the day with Anthony at his home, hear how he started building everything from scratch, why he chose to live off grid and what he has learnt since making that decision. We also get into a bigger conversation that I think many people are having today. Why are more young people becoming interested in land, nature, growing their own food and living a little further away from the city? Is our definition of success slowly changing? I really enjoyed this conversation because Anthony isn’t saying everyone should leave the city and move to the wild. He is simply showing us that we have options, and that ultimately, you get to decide what kind of life makes sense for you. I hope you enjoy this episode. ❤️
