I gave myself one rule for making my new to-go cup collection. Only 3 colors. The three colors I chose were chestnut, baby blue, and butter yellow. Hi, my name is Maria and I've been a full-time ceramicist for about 3 years now. And I love my job, but I wanted this collection to feel more like I was playing around. I'm using techniques that I haven't really done before, just to see how I like it. First two pieces, I'm putting tape and vinyl on it and then sponging away some clay to make a texture. This one I was inspired by these cute lace to-go cups. So I recreated that with this lace texture on the top, but I felt like it needed a little bit more color. Mixed up a chestnut color and a little bit of blue to marry the colors together. Some lines on the side. I'm not sure if I like it with blue or stripes. So I did it halfway to see which one I like better. Now for the brown cup. I thought it would be so cute to have a fawn fur inspired collection. I like it really just adds a softness. So I did my best at trying to recreate that. I hope that it looks like that. Let me know in the comments. Also, are we thinking just blue or blue with chestnut stripes? Okay, that's it.
